VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH is an organisation founded by two of the largest European professional associations for engineers (VDI = Association of German Engineers and VDE = Association for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies). The company’s primary objectives are to promote R&D mainly in the area of information technologies, to assist governmental authorities in developing and analysing instruments and initiatives for the diffusion of technologies, in particular in developing initiatives for accelerating technological development and to speed up product and process innovation.
