Activities

The activities of CE RFID focus on five work packages:

RFID Technology and Application Roadmap

gives a clear overview on the actual state-of-the-art of RFID technology and its future development in order to achieve a more objective discussion on RFID.

European Research & Development Policy

defines a detailed RFID research agenda at European level which matches the needs of the users, the potentials of technology providers and which fits well into the national R&D programmes.

European RFID Standardisation

analyses RFID standards and radio regulations and elaborates detailed proposals for proper actions to the European Commission.

RFID Guidelines

Reduces information deficits by supplying industry specific cost-benefit analyses and business models, case studies and similar collections of experiences with the implementation of RFID to potential users.

European RFID Legislation

points out the interdependency of technical development and legal framework to RFID developers and RFID users and assists European and national legislation bodies in setting up appropriate rules for the use of RFID systems.
