High Level Expert Conference: Towards a European Policy on RFID
19 September 2008
Bedford Hotel, Rue du Midi 135-137, 1000 Brussels, Belgium
In this high level event a European network of RFID technology providers, vendors and users presented its perspective on the next steps for RFID in Europe. As a result of a successful cooperation, RFID practitioners shared their views on cornerstones for a European RFID research policy, gave suggestions for an effective harmonisation of RFID-related frequencies and standards, explained the legal framework for RFID in Europe, and described where we face a lack of implementation guidelines as well as how an RFID Reference Model could improve the situation. A poster session accompanied the presentations and discussions.
